Job summary

Qualifications

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years of EH&S or related experience, or 2 years post-secondary with 0–2 years EH&S experience.
Ability to comply with federal, state, and local EH&S regulations; experience with waste handling and regulatory inspections.

Responsibilities

Collect hazardous waste from various generation points across the site.
Label and date containers in accordance with RCRA and site requirements.
Safely package hazardous waste materials for storage or off-site disposal.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of accumulation areas and waste storage zones.
Complete and maintain waste tracking logs and documentation.
Inspect waste containers for leaks, damage, or improper labeling.
Assist with environmental audits and regulatory inspections as needed.
Follow all safety protocols, wear PPE, and report safety issues.
Coordinate with other departments and contractors as required.
Valid driver’s license; maneuver heavy loads in varying conditions.
