Job summary

BorgWarner Arden campus is seeking a Senior EHS Specialist to develop and implement environmental, health, and safety programs across technical centers and manufacturing facilities in Arden, NC. You will lead training, conduct inspections, and coordinate incident investigations to ensure adherence to ISO 14001/45001/50001 and OSHA/EPA requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in relevant sciences and 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, with a focus on safety policy development,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological, Environmental, or Health and Safety Sciences or equivalent
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing is preferred
• Strong understanding of Federal and State OSHA/EPA regulations

Responsibilities

• Develop and promote environmental, health, and safety programs and policies to promote a safe work environment and reduce incidents.
• Coordinate safety inspections, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with ISO 14001, 45001, 50001 and OSHA/EPA requirements.
• Coordinate incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop and conduct training programs on industrial safety, industrial hygiene, emergency planning, government regulations, and hazardous materials.
• Develop and integrate waste management, minimization, and recycling programs.
• Provide emergency response oversight and ensure proper storage and maintenance of chemicals.
• Promote employee involvement on safety teams and inspections.
• Support Facilities/Maintenance team activities and adhere to quality/control policies.
