Job summary

Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) is seeking a Senior EHS Specialist to oversee Environmental Health and Safety at the Sunnyvale, CA site. This role ensures regulatory compliance across manufacturing, lab, warehouse, and R&D operations while driving risk reduction and DBS-based continuous improvement.

The position reports to the Global EHS Manager and is onsite, requiring collaboration with a broad team to build a proactive safety culture and effective environmental stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least three years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or other regulated operations with working knowledge of Cal/OSHA, EPA, RCRA and related regulatory requirements.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action management to drive risk reduction and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to influence and engage associates and leaders at all levels while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS for a combined manufacturing, laboratory, warehouse, and R&D site.
• Lead and implement EHS Management System program activities, including program evaluations, compliance audits, corrective action plans, onboarding and ongoing training for associates.
• Lead risk assessments, safety observations, incident investigations, inspections, and corrective actions using DBS tools to identify hazards, reduce risk, and strengthen proactive safety culture.
• Manage environmental permits, regulatory reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Monitor and maintain EHS performance, including tracking KPIs, trends and emerging regulations.
