Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking an EHS professional to develop and maintain health, safety, and environmental programs across sites in the US. You will lead incident investigations, manage electrical safety compliance, and collaborate with facilities to improve safety performance.

The role requires a university degree in a related field, experience with NFPA 70E and arc flash, and willingness to travel up to 15%. Onsite work at NC or IL locations may be required.

Qualifications

• University degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Engineering or closely related field plus additional requirement of one of the following.
• Related Master’s degree or CIH (American Board of Industrial Hygiene) or Professional Engineer license or CSP or CESCP and 4+ years directly related experience.
• NFPA 70E electrical safety training or equivalent demonstrated competency.
• Experience reviewing or supporting arc flash studies, electrical equipment labeling, energized electrical work permits, and electrical PPE programs.
• Travel up to 10–15% and ability to work non-traditional hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop documents and maintain EHS programs in compliance with federal, state and local law.
• Record and maintain data on safety incidents including investigation and root cause analysis.
• Create EHS programs and train employees on health, safety and chemical handling.
• Manage Electrical Safety Program aligned with OSHA 70E, NFPA 70E and Lockout/Tagout.
• Provide guidance on safe electrical work practices and risk assessments.
• Support development and review of safety policies, permits and incident response processes.
• Conduct inspections and report data for pollution control and safety improvements.
• Interact with audits, government agencies and internal stakeholders.
