Job summary

Harris & Lee Environmental Sciences (HLENV) seeks an experienced EHS professional with an industrial hygiene background for a full-time position. The role supports biotech/pharma, technology, manufacturing, and government clients across the San Francisco Bay Area while offering virtual work from home when not on client sites.

Responsibilities include IH exposure assessments, data analysis, and report drafting under CIH guidance, along with on-site and off-site client support.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of EHS experience or equivalent.
• CIH and/or CSP a plus.
• Familiar with federal and state EHS regulations and best practices.
• Experience conducting IH exposure assessments and reporting.
• Calibrating sampling equipment and conducting noise monitoring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.

Job description

Harris & Lee Environmental Sciences (“HLENV”) seeks an experienced EHS professional with industrial hygiene (IH) background/experience for a full-time position. Since 2006, our EHS team has been providing consulting support to a broad spectrum of industries, including biotech/pharmaceutical, technology, manufacturing, and local governments. Our greatest need is currently focused on the San Francisco, Peninsula, and South Bay areas. HLENV has always been a virtual company. All our consultants work from their home offices in the San Francisco Bay Area when not engaged at clients. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum of 5-8 years of EHS experience (required). CIH and/or CSP a plus.
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations and business practices, including a general broad knowledge of environmental, health and safety best management practices.
• Experience conducting IH exposure assessments and reviewing exposure assessment results (e.g., air sample results) and drafting reports under the guidance of a CIH.
• Capable of calibrating sampling equipment and conducting noise monitoring and sampling for airborne and surface contaminants.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Also possessing strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Candidate must be highly motivated, resourceful, and able to prioritize the needs of multiple clients.
• Candidate must be able to work independently, with minimal guidance, providing on-site and off-site client support.
• Live in the San Francisco Bay Area for regular onsite client visits.
• Access to a vehicle for travel to and from client sites.
• The ability, and opportunity, to work flexible hours to accommodate clients’ needs.
• Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
