Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson MedTech, a division of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer to be located in Raynham, MA. This role will also support the Bridgewater, MA facility as needed.

The Senior EHS Engineer will manage the Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Compliance and Industrial Hygiene Monitoring Programs at the Raynham, MA site, aiming to build proactive EHS programs. This position supports all aspects of the EHS Management System at the J&J MedTech Raynham site. You will be a key member of the Raynham site EHS leadership team, influencing decision-making and promoting cross-site initiatives and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure high EHS performance for the site.
  • Provide technical expertise in industrial hygiene, ergonomics, change control, contractor safety, and emergency preparedness.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant EHS regulations and J&J standards.
  • Partner with management to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct annual EHS program reviews.
  • Share global best practices and lessons learned.
  • Set goals, mentor leaders, and report on EHS metrics.
  • Develop and update EHS programs such as Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Fire Prevention, Machine Safety, and Chemical Inventory.
  • Perform ergonomic and machine safety risk assessments and develop job safety analyses.
  • Report violations to authorities and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead incident investigations and develop training programs.
  • Conduct site inspections and industrial hygiene sampling.
  • Support risk reduction projects and overall EHS compliance at both sites.
Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Skills & Experience:

Required:

  • At least 3 years of related experience.
  • Experience in Chemical Management, Risk Assessments, and Emergency Response.
  • Ability to lead EHS projects and evaluate workplace risks.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory issues and proficiency in MS Office and SharePoint.

Preferred:

  • Experience in manufacturing or warehousing in regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Supervisory experience and project management skills.
  • Certifications such as CIH, CHMM, CSP, or ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor are preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $77,000 - $124,200. Compensation includes performance bonuses, benefits, and participation in long-term incentive programs. Details are available on our careers site.
