Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking an experienced EHS Senior Safety Officer to deliver expert EH&S guidance across the hospital, ensuring regulatory compliance and leading on-call safety coverage.

You will manage hazardous chemicals programs, oversee fire/life safety, and collaborate with the EH&S Director to develop site-wide safety plans and training for staff across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field (preferred).
• 3-5 years of related work experience.
• Strong knowledge of environmental health & safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategies for compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Manages industrial hygiene needs including exposure monitoring.
• Oversees fire/life safety program and drills.
• Manages hazardous chemicals and wastes programs and disposal.
• Maintains hospital-wide hazard and safety surveillance program.
