Job summary

Tilcon Connecticut Inc. seeks a Safety Manager to lead environmental, health and safety programs across multiple facilities in Connecticut.

You will manage the EH&S team, ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA and DOT, and drive continuous improvement in safety culture. The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience, strong leadership and data-driven decision making, and the ability to train staff, investigate incidents and interact with regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.E.) from an accredited four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least 10 years of relevant practical experience
• OSHA 1910, OSHA 1926 and MSHA regulation knowledge preferred
• Knowledge of EHS regulations & ISO certifications, EHS Management systems and current trends in EHS Culture
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the preferred knowledge, skills and abilities
• Effective team development capability, exemplified by a track record of leading, coaching and developing EHS professionals

Responsibilities

• Manages the environmental, health and safety team for multiple facilities under MSHA, OSHA and DOT regulations
• Oversees the development, planning, and implementation of environmental, health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory and company policy
• Monitors performance of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) programs and regulatory compliance with all federal and state regulations and handles all contact with government agencies
• Conducts or directs employee safety, health and environmental training and regular safety meetings
• Develops and oversees company training programs for employees in areas such as compliance, inspection, safe work process, and company policy
