Job summary

Terracon seeks an experienced Senior EHS Manager for our Florida Division to lead environmental, health, and safety initiatives and mentor staff. This role supports projects across the country, driving compliance and program excellence in a 100% employee-owned engineering firm.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership, and the ability to manage client relationships while delivering high-quality reports and plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering required or equivalent.
• PE license is preferred for this senior role.
• 12+ years of experience in a full-time consulting role is expected.
• Strong technical writing ability is essential.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assess EHS staff capabilities across the Division.
• Develop EHS Growth Plans with Operational Leadership.
• Work with Client Development and technical staff on implementing Growth Plans.
• Prepare calculations, applications, plans, reports, proposals, and other deliverables.
• Manage projects and staff to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Work with Operations to understand local EHS growth opportunities.
• Develop strong working relationships with clients.
• Develop proposals in response to RFPs and client requests.
• Participate in the development of local and regional marketing strategies.
• Support safety efforts to promote safety rules and guidelines.
• Evaluate problems and develop practical solutions that enable our clients to achieve and maintain compliance with environmental regulations.
