Job summary

Mativ, a global specialty materials leader, seeks a Plant Safety Leader in Minneapolis to drive comprehensive safety strategies, training programs, and regulatory compliance. You will coordinate with operations and engineering to reduce risk and strengthen safety culture on site.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in manufacturing safety, strong leadership and communication skills, and knowledge of MnOSHA, MPCA, EPA standards; CSP/CIH/ASP/CHMM preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Safety Science, Industrial Hygiene or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing safety and training with strategy focus.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, County and City standards (MnOSHA, MPCA, EPA, DOT).
• Certifications such as CSP, CIH, ASP, CHMM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes incident, hazard and near-miss trends and leads safety strategy with operations and engineering.
• Develops a comprehensive skills development cycle to sustain knowledge among hourly workforce and managers.
• Ensures OSHA, MPCA, and EPA training is completed annually.
• Leads Safety Steering Team meetings and tracks action items.
• Manages communications of policy changes and maintains safety training content.
• Supports Safety Teams and ensures compliance on pre-use inspections and LOTO.
