Job summary

Daniel Defense is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to lead EHS initiatives across our manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements. This role focuses on developing safety programs, training, incident investigations, and supplier safety management while promoting a safe, compliant workplace.

The successful candidate will bring 7+ years of safety leadership, a risk management mindset, and proven ability to drive corrective actions,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on risk management or equivalent.
• 7+ years of safety management experience or a combination of related experience and training.
• OSHA 30-hour certification preferred; OSHA 501/511 certification preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations and environmental health & safety standards.
• Experience in incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.
• Develop competency models and career paths within manufacturing.
• Maintain employee training records and generate reports.
• Develop and update environmental, health and safety programs and procedures.
• Manage OSHA recordkeeping and reporting requirements.
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analyses and drive corrective actions.
• Plan and deliver safety training for new hires and temps.
• Ensure compliance with HAZCOM, chemical inventory, and SDS management.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors and ensure safe procedural compliance.
• Assist in EPCRA reporting including Tier II and TRI where applicable.
