Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis on risk management; 7+ years of Safety management or related experience.
• Prefer OSHA 30-hour certification.
• Prefer OSHA 501/511 certification Trainer’s Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.
• Develop and establish competency models and career paths in manufacturing.
• Maintain employee records of participation for EHS training and generate reports.
• Develop, implement and update environmental, health and safety programs and procedures.
• Manage OSHA recordkeeping and reporting requirements.
• Investigate accidents, perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Plan and facilitate safety training for new hires and temps.
• Communicate safety observations to leadership and managers.
• Ensure compliance with DOT hazardous materials regulations and reporting.
