Job summary

Southwire Company, LLC, a leader in technology and innovation, seeks an EHS Director to lead the environmental health and safety function across operations. You will guide a professional team, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and advance a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

partnered with senior leadership, you will design and implement EHS programs, deliver training, perform audits, and measure performance to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial safety, or related science with experience in a manufacturing environment.
• OSHA 10-hour, OSHA 30-hour, ASP, CSP, SMS certifications are required.
• 5–7 years of experience in manufacturing with strong environmental and regulatory expertise (EPCRA, storm water, spill prevention, air, and waste).

Responsibilities

• Advise senior leadership on complex EHS issues to mitigate risks and strengthen safety culture.
• Coordinate cross-departmental implementation of EHS policies and procedures.
• Define project terms for EHS initiatives and ensure successful execution aligned with business priorities.
• Implement EHS programs and conduct training, inspections, and audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate EHS initiatives and mentor team members to improve performance.
• Establish relationships with regulatory agencies and industry stakeholders.
