Job summary

Kairos Power is seeking an experienced Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead a cross-functional team in an operational setting. You will develop and implement EHS programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a safety-focused culture across R&D, manufacturing, and construction activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• 5+ years of management of EHS programs focusing on safety management, regulatory compliance, risk management, and program development.
• 5+ years of direct management experience.
• Professional certification in EHS (CSP/CHI/CHMM) preferred but not required.
• Experience supporting EHS activities across multiple operating environments (R&D, labs, manufacturing, construction).

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse team of EHS professionals, providing mentorship and growth opportunities.
• Develop, implement and maintain environmental, health and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, labs, construction and research staff to mitigate hazards.
• Drive the Job Hazard Analysis processes to improve safety.
• Implement emergency response plans and train employees accordingly.
• Promote a culture of environmental responsibility and sustainable practices.
• Stay current with EH&S regulations and ensure regulatory adherence.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports and documentation as required.
