Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking an experienced EHS leader for our Lexington, KY site. You will ensure compliance with all EHS regulations, develop and lead training, and oversee audits and incident investigations to drive continuous improvement.

You will report to the Plant Manager and build a strong EHS team, collaborating across facilities and operations to sustain a safe, compliant manufacturing environment. Our Total Rewards support your growth and well-being.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in EHS mgmt or engineering from an accredited university.
• At least 8 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in manufacturing.
• Ability to work independently and communicate with senior management.
• Experience in electrical safety, machine guarding, warehouse, training, and ergonomics.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 & 45001 standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with environment, health and safety regulations and stay informed on changes.
• Assist in maintaining metrics, evaluate data trends, and support management reviews for EHS improvements.
• Develop and implement EHS policies, guidelines, and procedures; address location-specific requirements.
• Develop training programs and conduct training for regulatory EHS initiatives.
• Oversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, and ensure corrective actions.
• Conduct EHS audits and risk assessments; participate in external compliance and loss prevention audits.
• Coordinate corrective actions with site personnel from audits and risk assessments.
• Liaise with facilities and maintenance for fire and life safety controls.
• Lead permitting submissions for air, water, and land jurisdictional requirements.
• Serve as site contact for government inquiries on EHS; lead the site safety committee.
