Job summary

Futaba North America, headquartered in Bloomingdale, IL, is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager to plan, develop, and run the EHS function across manufacturing sites.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing EHS, a Bachelor's degree (EHS, Engineering or related), OSHA/ISO knowledge, and CSP or SMP certification preferred. Expect 25% travel to North American facilities and Futaba Japan.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive EHS management experience in manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, WHMIS, TDG, and ISO 14001; CSP or SMP certification preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with safety management software.
• Willingness to travel ~25% to North American sites and Futaba Japan.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated EHS management systems across sites.
• Lead policies, procedures, training, and audits for health, safety, and environment.
• Interface with regulators and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance.
• Lead emergency preparedness and contractor safety programs.
• Monitor EHS performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
