Job summary

Futaba North America seeks an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager to plan, develop, organize, and manage the EHS function as consistent with protecting people and the environment. This role will focus on implementing safe workplace practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, and minimizing risk to our employees and business at the Bloomingdale, IL headquarters.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of EHS leadership in manufacturing, a Bachelor’s in a related field, and strong knowledge of

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of progressive EHS leadership in manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in EHS, engineering, or related field required.
• Solid knowledge of OSHA, WHMIS, TDG and ISO 14001 essential.
• CSP/SMP certification preferred and auditing experience advantageous.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and safety software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage integrated EHS systems aligned with corporate goals.
• Lead policies, procedures, training, and audits for health, safety and environment.
• Collaborate with EHS teams across sites and with the Japan office.
• Oversee site EHS leaders and provide guidance and oversight.
• Audit processes for compliance with standards and regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, ergonomics and sustainability.
• Monitor incidents, corrective actions, and regulatory reporting.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and contractor safety programs.
• Travel up to 25% to North American facilities and Futaba Japan.
