Job summary

EHSCareers seeks an experienced Complex Health & Safety Manager to oversee health and employee safety programs across the poultry processing complex, including the plant, feed mill and hatchery.

The role ensures compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agencies, leads the Health & Safety Plan, mentors staff, and drives continuous improvement in safety, industrial hygiene, and risk management across the site.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years’ relevant safety management/compliance experience.
• Experience within food manufacturing is preferred.
• Experience managing direct reports.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee health and employee safety programs for the complex.
• Develop and maintain effective safety procedures and training.
• Lead the site’s Safety and Health Plan and budgets.
• Audit regulatory compliance and coordinate corrective actions.
• Interpret company policies and regulatory guidelines for leaders.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement in EH&S systems.
• Mentor and coach staff on safety best practices.
• Collaborate with facility leadership on annual objectives.
