Job summary

Heartline Staffing is seeking an EHS Manager for a senior-level leadership role in a food and beverage manufacturing setting in Arkansas City, Kansas. The position drives environmental, health, and safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a strong safety culture on site.

The role emphasizes audits, training, incident investigations, and sustainability initiatives, with a full relocation package and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• College degree is required.
• Experience in food & beverage manufacturing is required.
• EHS certification(s) is required.
• 8+ years of progressive EHS experience.
• At least 3 years of EHS leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA and ISO 14001/45001 standards.
• Proven leadership, communication and change management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive EHS programs, policies and procedures.
• Ensure alignment with federal, state and local regulations.
• Lead EHS audits, inspections and assessments.
• Identify compliance gaps and drive continuous improvement.
• Serve as subject matter expert on environmental compliance.
• Oversee hazardous waste management and workplace safety.
• Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver EHS training to employees and leadership.
• Monitor and analyze EHS metrics and KPIs.
• Maintain and test emergency preparedness and response plans.
• Partner with operations, HR, legal and engineering.
