Job summary

Confidential company in Kansas City, KS is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to oversee EHS for its manufacturing and warehousing operations at two facilities.

You will lead programs, ensure regulatory compliance, mentor teams, manage training, conduct inspections, and partner with site leaders and external providers to drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in EHS or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in leading Environmental, Health and Safety within a manufacturing facility.
• Preferred experience with hazardous waste, air permits, stormwater in Kansas.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement programs ensuring compliance with federal, state and local EHS requirements.
• Serve as EHS leader and mentor others to promote safe work activities.
• Maintain and promote EHS policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement EHS training to meet requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS into operations.
• Communicate EHS policies to all employees.
• Lead OSHA and EPA inspection readiness and documentation.
• Maintain safety, accident and environmental records and reports.
• Oversee hazard handling, storage and waste disposal.
