Job summary

Kanto Corporation in Portland, Oregon seeks an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety Manager to lead site EHS programs within a chemical manufacturing setting. You will partner with Production, Facilities, Quality, HR and Operations to strengthen safety culture and regulatory compliance.

This hands-on role focuses on audits, incident investigations, training, and continuous improvement to protect people and the environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a safety/health/environmental discipline or related technical field is required.
• 7+ years of progressive EHS, occupational safety, or industrial safety experience, preferably in chemical/regulated environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing safety programs, inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, root-causes, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve site EHS programs, policies, procedures, and safe-work practices.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA/Oregon OSHA and environmental regulations; maintain records and inspections.
• Coordinate audits, investigations, and corrective actions; drive safety training and incident trend analysis.
• Partner with site leaders to establish safety expectations and accountability across departments.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline
