Job summary

Qualifications

  • 5 years or more in safety field with 2 or more years overseeing total safety management program for a mid-size manufacturer.
  • Experience in managing and administering a comprehensive industrial safety program, loss control, workers' compensation insurance, Environmental and OSHA regulations.
  • Experience in training workforces and developing training programs, especially online with user interaction.

Job description

Overview

Yaskawa is searching for a Senior Manager, Environmental Health & Safety to lead, manage and provide improvement strategies for all EHS activities at YAI and its subsidiaries. This role will optimize the performance of EHS initiatives, identify, manage, direct, and audit the systems required to limit all forms of risk leading to environmental mishaps, compliance violations, job-related injury or illness, property damage, and bad public relations. The role includes creating and expanding an EHS strategy that drives site locations toward becoming an environmentally sustainable enterprise. Develop and implement location-specific EHS policies, procedures, and programs. Ensure compliance-related activities such as environmental permit requirements and EHS training, Ergonomic programs, are robust and maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Set strategy and manage all key components of EHS risk, communications at all levels, and use metrics and program results to drive continuous improvement of YAI's EHS levels.
  • Develop and implement location-specific EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Ensure compliance-related activities (environmental permits, EHS training, Ergonomic programs) are robust and maintained.
  • Lead, manage, and improve EHS initiatives across YAI and its subsidiaries, aiming to minimize environmental mishaps, compliance violations, injuries, property damage, and negative public relations.
Qualifications
  • 5 years or more in safety field with 2 or more years oversight of total safety management program for a mid-size manufacturer
  • BA/BS
  • Experience in a light assembly production environment
  • Experience in managing and administering a comprehensive industrial safety program, loss control, workers' compensation insurance, Environmental and OSHA regulations
  • Experience in implementing Ergonomic programs
  • Experience in training work forces
  • Experience in developing training programs, especially online with user interaction, change management, and feedback
