Fike Corporation in Blue Springs, Missouri, is seeking a Senior Manager, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to lead the organization’s environmental, health, and safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, ISO 45001/14001, and related standards.

The role owns the EHS strategy, risk prioritization, and cross-functional execution, building a strong team, guiding audits, CAPA, training, and continuous improvement across facilities nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Ten years or more of experience in EHS, regulatory compliance, or safety engineering.
• Proven leadership, people management, and program ownership.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO 45001 & 14001.

Responsibilities

• Manages and develops the EHS compliance team, providing guidance and resource allocation for EHS Managers and Safety Specialists.
• Develops and maintains the overarching environmental and safety compliance framework across all applicable jurisdictions and facilities.
• Serves as the primary interface with regulatory bodies, certification agencies, and auditors.
• Leads internal and external health, safety, and environmental audits, inspections, and regulatory submissions.
• Oversees the master registry of EHS certifications, permits, and ISO standards, actively managing renewals and surveillance audits to avoid business disruption or regulatory fines.
• Establishes EHS compliance risk assessments and mitigation plans.
• Leads advanced process safety and hazard analyses, utilizing techniques such as HazOps, Layer of Protection Analysis, and Event Tree analysis.
• Drives formal change control by reviewing engineering, design, process, and facility changes for environmental and safety impacts prior to implementation.
• Leads advanced incident investigations for health, safety, security, or environmental hazards.
• Drives robust corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and root cause analyses tied to regulatory nonconformance.
• Ensures that EHS training programs across the facility align with regulatory requirements.
• Leads enterprise-wide chemical hazard assessments, hazardous material communication (HAZCOM), and hazardous material handling and disposal (HAZMAT) programs.
