Job summary

STRATTEC in Milwaukee seeks a Health and Safety Manager to lead EHS across our manufacturing operations including die casting, stamping, plating and wastewater treatment. You will implement common-sense policies, drive cost-effective improvements, and ensure regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related field, or 5+ years of equivalent EHS management experience.
• CSP preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and compliance audits.
• Willingness to be hands-on with policy deployment, process improvement, new policy development, EHS training and regulatory correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory correspondence, documentation, reporting, permitting, policy creation and certifications including ISO14001.
• Develop and deploy EHS policy while ensuring OSHA compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement in environmental sustainability and EHS-related processes.
• Align with stakeholders to improve environmental sustainability, recycling, waste reduction, and water discharge goals.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and associate safety by standardizing processes and equipment requirements.
• Administer workers’ compensation program by tracking accidents and coordinating with providers.
• Supervise Milwaukee facility security and security operations.
• Lead HazMat and Accident Response Teams.
• Complete job safety analysis for new equipment, chemicals and interface points.
• Represent STRATTEC in safety groups and programs.
• Maintain health, safety and environmental files and records.
• Leverage lean, TPM, Six Sigma and Industry 4.0 to simplify EHS decisions.
• Support policy deployment, training and regulatory communications.
