Job summary

Afognak Native Corporation seeks a Senior Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Professional to develop and implement robust EHS programs across contract sites. This role ensures regulatory compliance, mitigates risk, and maintains a safe workplace.

The position requires SSHO Level 2, a secret clearance, and 6–8 years of EHS experience with OSHA/EPA standards. Will involve office and field work, including site visits and emergency response activities.

Qualifications

• Secret Clearance required.
• 6-8 years of experience in environmental health and safety.
• Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) Level 2 certification required.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and health/safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and implement comprehensive health, safety and environmental programs across contract sites.
• Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments.
• Train staff on EHS policies and procedures.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.
• Work in office and field environments; may require site visits and emergency response.
