Job summary

The Hershey Company in Memphis, TN is seeking an experienced EHS leader to shape the safety culture at a major manufacturing site. You will translate priorities into practical plans, improve compliance, and reduce risk across operations.

You will oversee audits, investigations, training, and performance metrics while guiding site leadership. This role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a strong focus on safety excellence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressively responsible EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing or another complex, high-risk operating environment.
• Experience leading and developing EHS professionals and influencing senior site leadership is required.
• Bachelor's degree required; a degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Environmental Science, or similar EHS discipline preferred.
• An EHS professional certification and/or advanced degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, complex EHS programs and short-term strategic plans aligned with priorities and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the senior EHS advisor to site leadership with clear risk communication and recommendations.
• Oversee risk assessments, audits, permits, training, and management systems to strengthen compliance and reduce risk.
• Lead investigations of significant incidents and near misses with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Integrate EHS into daily operations, maintenance planning, and capital projects for continuous improvement.
• Establish and monitor leading and lagging indicators, dashboards, and performance reviews.
• Lead, coach, and develop EHS professionals and foster site-wide EHS ownership.
• Participate in the Global EHS network to share best practices across sites.
