Job summary

Vantage Point Recruiters, LLC. is seeking an EHS Senior Manager to lead the Environmental, Health & Safety program at a major Columbus, NE manufacturing site. The role focuses on creating and implementing strategic safety initiatives to foster a strong EHS culture and ensuring compliance with all laws and policies.

The ideal candidate will manage a team, participate in plant leadership, and influence safety without direct authority while driving continuous improvement across EHS processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering or related field.
• Five years of relevant EHS management experience in large manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of LOTO, Machine Guarding, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with Medical Device, Chemical, or manufacturing environments preferred.
• ISO14001/45001/50001 knowledge preferred; auditor certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of EHS professionals, providing guidance and development.
• Develop and implement strategic EHS initiatives and metrics to improve site culture and performance.
• Coordinate day-to-day EHS programs (LOTO, guarding, electrical safety, fall protection).
• Ensure compliance with EHS regulations, permits, and company policies.
• Design and deliver EHS training programs to enhance team capability.
• Facilitate incident investigations with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement through audits, data analysis, and feedback.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS into operations.
