Job summary

Johnson Controls in Gilbert, AZ is seeking an experienced EHS leader to oversee environmental health and safety programs within the DCS/Silent-Aire manufacturing facilities. You will guide policy development, coach teams, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations while advancing a world-class EHS culture.

Responsibilities include implementing EHS management systems, tracking KPIs, conducting audits and investigations, and supporting workers' compensation processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety/Environmental field required.
• Minimum six years EHS experience in industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Experience developing and auditing EHS management systems (ISO 45001, 14001; COR Auditor).
• Knowledge of Workers' Compensation and Return to Work programs.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Foster a world-class EHS culture across Johnson Controls' DCS/Silent-Aire facilities.
• Develop and implement EHS policies and Management Systems.
• Lead annual reviews of EHS policies and procedures.
• Track EHS KPIs and report to stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor local EHS team.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial health and safety laws.
• Oversee Workers' Compensation claims and returns to work.
• Lead near-miss and incident investigations.
• Support audits and action plans.
• Travel as required.
