Job summary

C.H. Guenther & Son seeks an experienced EHS Manager to integrate EHS processes, SOPs, and training in compliance with federal and state regulations. The role involves hands-on leadership across operations, audits, training, and continuous improvement to foster a safe and productive work culture.

The position emphasizes collaboration with management and staff, diverse facilities, and ongoing compliance with environmental and safety requirements; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field.
• ASP or CSP a plus but not required.
• 5+ years of experience in EHS management, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Experience in food manufacturing and understanding of plant operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, and others; maintain up-to-date knowledge.
• Lead EHS program management and continuous improvement; track KPI data.
• Conduct regular EHS audits and risk assessments; implement corrective actions.
• Oversee incident reporting, investigation, and corrective actions.
• Conduct EHS training and promote a safety culture across facilities.
• Maintain records and prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies.
• Support more than one manufacturing or warehouse facility as needed.
