Job summary

Terrestrial Bio, Inc. is seeking an experienced EHS leader to own and professionalize safety programs across two sites in the Boston area, guiding lab and manufacturing safety infrastructure.

You will implement guarding, LOTO, ergonomics, and cleanroom practices while ensuring waste management and regulatory compliance. Qualifications

• Education: BS in EHS, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or Biological Sciences.
• Experience: 8+ years in biotech/pharma or regulated manufacturing.
• Regulatory: OSHA, hazardous waste, risk assessment, and environmental compliance knowledge.
• Scaling: Experience moving from research to manufacturing scale EHS.
• Certifications: CSP, CIH, CBSP, CHMM, or 40-hour HAZWOPER a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own EHS across two sites, focusing on lab and manufacturing safety and infrastructure.
• Build and professionalize programs: machine guarding, lockout/tagout, ergonomics, and cleanroom operations.
• Hazardous waste management, RCRA, MassDEP compliance, vendor management, and environmental reporting.
• Formalize risk assessment, incident investigation, root cause analysis, and near-miss reporting.
• Train and scale safety culture; partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Scientific Operations.
• Develop safety metrics and readiness for OSHA, EPA, local, and GMP-adjacent inspections.
