Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking an experienced EHS leader to drive Environmental, Health, and Safety strategy across large projects. You will align EHS priorities with enterprise goals, foster accountability, and guide multidisciplinary teams and external partners to improve safety performance.

Based in California, this on-site role requires 8–12 years of construction EHS leadership, strong regulatory readiness, and collaboration with project executives to integrate EHS into delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in safety, EH, engineering, construction management
• 8–12 years of construction EHS experience including mega projects
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction, OSHA 500 certifications required
• First Aid/CPR/AED or Narcan certification preferred
• Strong leadership and governance capabilities

Responsibilities

• Defines project-wide EHS strategy, goals, and maturity targets
• Oversees EHS governance and audits across all project phases
• Leads serious-incident investigations and communicates findings
• Partners with project leaders to plan high-risk work and integrate EHS into delivery
• Develops and mentors project EHS professionals
• Represents the project in regulatory interactions and cross-project forums
• Tracks and reports EHS performance metrics and trends
