Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Environmental Health & Safety Engineer in Hawthorne, CA. You will develop and maintain compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, and other agencies while collaborating with leadership on hazard assessments and safety policies.

You will monitor exposure, implement machine guarding, and investigate incidents to prevent recurrence. The role requires 5+ years in EH&S and a strong regulatory background across federal, state, and local levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in designing and overseeing EH&S programs.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH guidance and EPA/SAWR requirements.
• Willingness to relocate to Hawthorne, CA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH and other regulations.
• Collaborate with leadership to complete hazard assessments and policies.
• Monitor employee exposure to physical and chemical hazards.
• Implement machine guarding and safety processes.
• Investigate incidents to identify root causes and preventive actions.
• Maintain environmental compliance with EPA, CERCLA, RCRA, DOT etc.
• Conduct audits and document safety observations.
• Develop and maintain safety contingency plans.
