Job summary

Applied Materials in Santa Clara, CA is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Program Manager to lead site EHS programs and ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA and EPA. The role emphasizes risk mitigation, training, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering and operations.

You will drive incident investigations, develop corrective actions, and oversee site assessments and emergency response planning, reporting to the Director of EHS with travel up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Environmental, Health & Safety within semiconductor, manufacturing, research and development, high-technology, or related industrial environments.
  • Experience managing EHS compliance programs and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analyses.
  • Experience interacting with regulatory agencies and conducting compliance audits.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage environmental, health, and safety programs at the site.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local EH&S regulations including air, wastewater, and hazardous waste requirements.
  • Conduct incident investigations, root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain EH&S policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Provide training and support to employees and contractors on EHS topics.
