Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science/engineering/environmental/health/safety field (completed and verified prior to start).
• Five years of experience in environmental/health/safety in a manufacturing environment.
• Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Eight+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Professional certifications CHMM, QEP, CIH, or CSP are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS programs with focus on environmental planning and compliance with standards and 3M expectations.
• Interpret federal, state and local environmental standards for site applicability.
• Prepare and/or review permits and reports.
• Lead environmental performance improvement projects.
• Assess new processes, equipment and chemistry for EHS impact.
• Interact with internal auditors and regulatory agencies.
• Serve as site environmental expert and communicate project status.
• Support initiatives to enhance EHS culture and accountability across the workforce.
