Job summary

Wells Concrete is seeking an EHS & DOT Compliance Manager to promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and DOT regulations across multiple facilities and job sites.

The role analyzes safety data, identifies risks, and implements corrective actions to reduce incidents and improve operational safety performance, while providing reporting, training support, and regulatory oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of safety experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain plant safety processes to reduce injuries and risk exposure.
• Build and reinforce a strong safety culture with accountability at all levels.
• Conduct safety audits, incident investigations, and root-cause analyses.
• Maintain OSHA recordkeeping and regulatory reporting.
• Manage workers' compensation cases and return-to-work programs.
• Provide safety reporting, trends, and recommendations to leadership.
• Ensure DOT compliance including driver qualification files and vehicle inspections.
• Administer random drug and alcohol testing per DOT requirements.
• Conduct facility audits to ensure ongoing safety and environmental compliance.
