Job summary

CBRE Health, Safety and Environment Director needed to oversee HSE programs for a Life Science/Pharmaceutical client in West Point, PA. Role requires guiding a team across multiple facilities with up to 25% travel (10% international).

Lead regulatory compliance and drive safety initiatives while partnering with senior management. Relevant experience in regulated environments and strong leadership are essential, with a degree preferred and 8–12 years of related work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8–12 years of relevant experience.
• Health & Safety experience in Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical or other regulated environments preferred.
• Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
• Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated information and convey performance expectations.
• Leadership skills to set, manage, and achieve targets across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees and conduct performance evaluations.
• Coordinate daily team activities, set schedules, and cross-train staff.
• Approve playbooks and ensure safety and environmental initiatives drive consistency.
• Review risks and implement strategic risk management strategies.
• Serve as point of contact for government agencies and professional organizations.
• Provide information to senior management on health, safety, and environmental issues.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across all accounts.
• Lead cross-functional problem solving using internal and external resources.
• Improve methods, processes, and standards within the discipline.
