Job summary

Automate AI, LLC seeks a Senior Software Engineer to build the FHIR-native integration layer for Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, and athena.

You will ship the platform surface—dashboards, models, and integrations—while operating in a HIPAA-aware stack with secure, auditable inferences. Join a small, senior team with direct access to clinical, security, and engineering leads; remote-first within the US, with Boston HQ for those who want it.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of senior-level engineering experience.
• Evidence-led decision making: publish results and disclose subgroup performance.
• Comfort in a HIPAA-aware, security-conscious environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with customers, clinicians, and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Ship the platform surface—dashboards, models, and integrations—used by patients, providers, researchers, and pharma.
• Maintain a five-stage validation bar: cohort definition, held-out evaluation, subgroup analysis, independent review, continuous monitoring.
• Operate inside a HIPAA-aware stack with BAA-covered LLM providers and immutable audit logs on inferences.
• Work in a small, senior team with direct access to clinical, security, and engineering leads.
