Job summary

PACS is seeking a Senior EHR Specialist to implement modules of the EHR platform (PointClickCare) across supported facilities in compliance with federal and state laws and facility privacy policies.

You will support EHR projects, provide PCC Navigation training, and perform audits with the Legal and Clinical teams. The role requires onsite training and collaboration with regional leadership to ensure timely, accurate PCC module deployment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Typing speed of at least 45 WPM with dictation equipment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and health information concepts is preferred.
• College degree is preferred; nursing education is a plus.
• Ability to make independent decisions when required.
• Ability to interact tactfully with staff, residents, visitors and the public.
• Ability to work harmoniously with others and minimise waste.
• Willingness to adopt new methods and practices and follow instructions.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions and stay compliant with safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Receive and follow work schedule and policies.
• Organise, plan and direct EHR-related projects to meet deadlines.
• Assist EHR Project Manager and Senior Director as required.
• Maintain good working rapport with PACS staff and facilities.
• Provide PCC Navigation training on assigned modules.
• Be proficient in PCC Clinical Modules as needed.
• Conduct audits to support legal and clinical teams and report results monthly.
• Maintain spreadsheets on facility audit trends and alert on issues.
• Protect resident information and report suspected disclosures.
