Job summary

American Water seeks a Senior, Environmental, Health & Safety Program Manager to lead the EH&S program at MSG/CSG locations, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies. You will partner with operations, maintenance, and regulatory affairs to drive safe, environmentally responsible practices.

The role requires a minimum of five years in water/wastewater, strong audit and training capabilities, and proven leadership of multi-site EH&S programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in water/wastewater industry.
• Experience in environmental, health and safety program oversight.
• Ability to lead training and audits across multiple facilities.
• Strong working knowledge of regulatory reporting and permit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and continually improve company environmental compliance programs.
• Manage EH&S training, audits, and regulatory reporting activities.
• Lead site access for regulators, inspectors and auditors.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure environmental permits and records are up to date.
• Provide guidance to staff on health and safety practices and incident response.
