Job summary

Chewy is hiring a Manager, Environmental Health and Safety III for our fulfillment center. You will oversee safety, loss prevention, environmental and food safety programs and lead employee engagement in a safety-first culture.

Responsibilities include audits, training, incident investigations and collaboration with OSHA/EPA and external partners to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety related field or higher.
• 2–4 years of experience in Safety, Loss Prevention or environmental compliance.
• Experience leading and growing a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Emergency response experience and current First Aid/CPR certifications, OSHA knowledge.
• Strong communication, partnership, analysis, judgment and customer engagement skills.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement all areas of Safety, Loss Prevention, Food Safety, and Environmental Compliance.
• Influence behavior to align with Chewy safety standards and maintain a safe work environment.
• Conduct training and mentor associates on observed work habits.
• Ensure compliance with corporate expectations and laws; conduct theft investigations as needed.
• Identify safety risks and improvement opportunities through audits.
• Perform Job Hazard Analyses and support incident investigations.
• Lead all aspects of contract guard services and document safety incidents in the Metrics database.
• Train others to fulfill Safety, Loss Prevention, Environmental Compliance and Food Safety duties.
• Maintain OSHA 300 log and postings.
• Partner with outside consultants, vendors, agencies such as OSHA and EPA.
• Drive a safety culture that grows employee engagement and accountability.
