Job summary

Prescient Edge seeks an experienced Effects Planner to coordinate operational-level planning at HQ USSOCOM, MacDill AFB, Florida. You will lead cross‑functional planning teams, develop plans, orders, and guidance, and ensure alignment with national objectives.

The role requires 10+ years in planning at senior levels, TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly if needed, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience. Briefings for senior leadership and advisory support are key duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of combined work-related experience with minimum 5 years since 2020 as a Planner at a senior level (O-6+).
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional planning teams.
• Experience facilitating working groups to deconflict resources, timing, and objectives.
• Ability to identify key vulnerabilities and nodes within target systems.
• Strong briefing and reporting skills informing planning and operations.
• High degree of autonomy to tackle difficult planning scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and coordinate all aspects of operational-level planning, synchronization, and integration.
• Provide planning support including analytics, target development, and planning advocacy.
• Refine and align priorities with national objectives; ensure plans nest within directives.
• Draft major documents such as CONPLANs, OPORDs, and formal planning guidance.
• Lead cross-functional teams to synchronize effects into a cohesive operational plan.
• Facilitate working groups to deconflict resources, timing, and objectives.
• Conduct analysis to identify vulnerabilities and nodes for desired effects.
• Develop Measures of Performance and Measures of Effectiveness for operations.
• Lead target development and assess ongoing operations; brief leadership on results.
• Ensure national guidance is reflected in all operational plans and priorities.
• Advocate for subordinate plans and resources during planning conferences.
