Job summary

Prescient Edge is seeking a Sr. Effects Planner to support a Federal Government client. The role involves leading cross-functional planning efforts, integrating operations, and advising staff on plans, orders, and guidance.

Location is HQ USSOCOM, MacDill AFB, FL, with a contingent availability depending on contract award. The candidate will develop and staff CONPLANs, OPORDs, and related guidance, while delivering formal assessments and senior-level briefings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years experience with 5+ years since 2020 as a Planner at O-6+ level within USSOCOM Enterprise or equivalent.
• Experience leading cross-functional planning teams.
• Experience facilitating working groups to deconflict resources, timing, and objectives between commands.
• Ability to identify key vulnerabilities and nodes within a target system.
• Skilled at translating complex operational problems into clear, concise briefings and reports.
• Works with a high degree of autonomy to tackle difficult and ambiguous planning scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional planning teams to synchronize effects into a cohesive operational plan.
• Facilitate working groups to deconflict resources, timing, and objectives between subordinate commands and staff sections.
• Develop Measures of Performance (MOPs) and Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs) to assess operations.
• Prepare and deliver briefings to senior leaders outlining proposed or current plans.
