Job summary

Houston City College seeks a Senior Investigator, EEO Title IX Compliance to assist the Director of EEO Compliance in carrying out the EEO and Title IX functions, investigating and responding to discrimination complaints, and developing statistical and narrative reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Educational Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
• Master’s degree or JD preferred.
• 5 years experience in Human Resources, Compliance, or Student Services, including 2 years in compliance, EEO, Title IX or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in establishing, reviewing and monitoring EEO compliance programs, plans, policies and procedures for all segments of the College.
• Oversee EEO case complaint function including intake, investigation, informal resolution, formal hearing processes, and training.
• Investigate alleged discrimination cases by interviewing the parties, determining relevant evidence, and interviewing individuals with pertinent factual knowledge.
• Analyze all evidence in alleged discrimination cases in relation to policies and statutes.
• Conclude whether a violation occurred and prepare a written report.
• Coordinate with College Administration and/or government investigators during external investigations.
• Investigate violations of the ADA and provide interpretation regarding accommodations and access.
• Assist with trainings and workshops across departments.
• Travel to HCCS campuses to give presentations and workshops.
• Develop and direct ongoing workshops, seminars, and training on institutional compliance.
