Job summary

San Joaquin County is seeking an experienced Equal Employment Opportunity professional to lead and modernize the County's EEO Program. The EEO Manager will plan, direct, and organize EEO investigations, manage the EEO Plan, and coordinate training for department EEO Coordinators and staff.

The role requires strong leadership to staff management, budget prep, and development of innovative programs to ensure state and federal compliance.

Qualifications

• Five years of increasingly responsible full-time professional public HR experience in EEO administration or EEO program investigations.
• Minimum of one year in supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in public or business administration, human resources management, social science, industrial psychology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and facilitate training programs and workshops on EEO laws, policies and practices.
• Review, revise and develop HR policies to ensure countywide EEO compliance.
• Collect, analyze and report on EEO metrics such as workforce demographics and hiring trends.
• Serve as a consultant on EEO matters to department heads and the County Administrator's Office.
• Represent HR on the EEO Advisory Committee and manage the EEO Program.
• Manage EEO professional and technical staff and budget.
