Job summary

San Joaquin County is seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager for the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) unit in Stockton, CA. This exempt position directs the County’s EEO program and partners with department heads to advance equity and compliance.

The role requires a bachelor's degree, five years of public HR experience in EEO, and supervisory experience, plus a California driver’s license. You will design training, analyze metrics, and serve as a consultant to leadership.

Qualifications

• Education: a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in related fields.
• Experience: Five years of professional public HR experience in EEO administration or EEO program investigations, with at least one year in supervision.
• License: valid California driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Design and facilitate training programs on EEO laws and policies.
• Review and revise HR policies to ensure countywide EEO compliance.
• Collect, analyze, and report on EEO metrics.
• Serve as an EEO consultant to department heads and the County Administrator's Office.
• Represent the County on the EEO Advisory Committee.
• Manage the County's EEO Program and staff.
