Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a Senior EEG Technologist to join the Neurology Department. The role involves performing EMGs and evoked potentials for both adult and pediatric patients across inpatient and outpatient settings, including ICUs and nursing floors. You will ensure electrode and equipment integrity and contribute to performance improvement and staff development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.).
  • At least two years of experience as an EEG Technologist.
  • At least two years’ experience in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
  • Experience with computerized medical equipment.
  • Possession of a high school diploma.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and online communication.
  • Graduate from an accredited training program in Electroneurodiagnostics or a combination of training and experience.
  • Ability to work variable shifts and days.
  • Demonstrates ability to be an independent, motivated self-starter

Responsibilities

  • Perform Electromyograms (EMGs) and evoked potentials (EPs) for adults and pediatrics.
  • Maintain electrode and equipment integrity.
  • Actively participate in departmental and organizational programs, including performance improvement activities, in-services and staff development.
