Job summary

The Neurodiagnostic Technologist at Carle Health applies EEGs, conducts studies, and maintains equipment under supervision, delivering findings and descriptive analyses to support patient care.

Candidates must have independent EEG experience and be able to work shifts listed (7:30a-4:00p, 12:30p-8:00p, or 7:00a-7:30p). A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available for moves over 50 miles.

Qualifications

• Education and certifications reflect Neurodiagnostic training as listed.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days is required.
• Organizational ability and effective communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and disinfects equipment per infection control policies.
• Completes EEGs/LTMs and documents data in charts.
• Explains tests to patients to obtain optimal results.
• Performs various EEG types including bedside and lab EEGs.
• Troubleshoots equipment and arranges repairs as needed.
• Notifies Neuroscience physician for gross EEG abnormalities when appropriate.
• Supports department functions such as hook ups and electrode care.
