Qualifications

• Graduate of an Electroneurodiagnostic Technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation
• ABRET - Amer Brd Reg Electroneuro Tech - must maintain active and in good standing throughout employment
• American Heart Association BLS - must maintain active and in good standing throughout employment
• 4-7 years experience as Electroencephalographic Technologist II with emphasis in pediatrics, neonates and Intensive Care

Responsabilités

• Performs EEG or Evoked Potential testing and updates in Cerner.
• Reviews current EEG Activity on Cerner video database.
• Interacts with various computer programs to print out sample recordings from the original digital EEG data; edits data for review by the Neurologist.
• Takes specific instructions from the physician regarding electrode placement, hyperventilation and Cortic Stimulation.
• Maintains equipment in clean operating condition and ensures patient safety.
• Performs data retrieval, reduction operations and Video EEG records for physician interpretation.
• Analyzes ictal/interictal features and artifacts in EEG studies.
• Performs EEGs and Long Term Video-EEG Monitoring in the EEG Lab or Seizure Unit.
• Performs ECOG and subdural EEG from 64-228 electrodes.
• Performs Functional Brain Stimulation and Mapping, ECS recordings, SPECT and PET.
• Provides patient care and observation during seizures and emergencies.
• Prepares data sets for montage and analysis.
• Coordinates data handoff with Technicians.
• Documents EMR fields to optimize utilization.
• Participates in Lean initiatives to improve care quality and cost effectiveness.
• Utilizes Lean to improve patient-family experience in the Brain Institute.
