Nicklaus Children's in Miami, FL, seeks an EEG/LTM Technician III for pool shifts to operate the laboratory and perform clinical or research work following established guidelines. You will conduct complex studies with minimal supervision and support a state-of-the-art epilepsy program.

You will perform EEG and Evoked Potential testing, update Cerner records, review EEG activity, and maintain equipment safety while collaborating with neurologists.

Formación

• Graduate of an Electroneurodiagnostic Technology program accredited by relevant bodies or equivalent on-the-job training.
• ABRET certification must be maintained in good standing throughout employment.
• American Heart Association BLS certification must be current during employment.
• 4-7 years experience as Electroencephalographic Technologist II with emphasis in pediatrics, neonates and ICU.

Responsabilidades

• Performs EEG or Evoked Potential testing and updates in Cerner.
• Reviews current EEG activity on Cerner video database.
• Interacts with computer programs to print and edit EEG data for neurologist review.
• Maintains safety and cleanliness of equipment and patient safety at all times.
• Retrieves data and performs data reduction for physician interpretation.
• Analyzes ictal and interictal features and identifies artifacts for review.
• Performs EEGs and Long Term Video-EEG Monitoring using the 10-20 system and supplementary positions.
• Provides appropriate patient care during seizures and emergencies.
• Documents EMR fields to optimize utilization and participates in Lean initiatives to improve care quality.
