Job summary

Terran Orbital in Irvine, CA is seeking an experienced Sr. Electrical, Electronic & Electromechanical (EEE) Components/PM&P Engineer to ensure reliable, safe satellite systems that meet contract requirements.

You will partner with design engineers on parts selection, review requirements, lead RCCA investigations, and coordinate with suppliers to flow down EEE/PM&P controls. DoD clearance eligibility preferred; U.S. citizenship required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience, ideally in aerospace.
• Experience in EEE parts engineering including reliability, obsolescence, and libraries.
• Knowledge of MIL, NASA, ISO, ECSS, IPC standards.
• Ability to analyze designs, materials, processes for reliability.
• Experience performing part/material/process failure analyses and corrective actions.
• Lead cross-functional RCCA investigations.
• Knowledge of counterfeit parts management, inspection techniques, test methods.
• Ability to review EEE/PM&P contract requirements and communicate approaches.
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Guide design engineers on parts selection based on reliability, availability and manufacturability.
• Review EEE and PM&P requirements, identify gaps or risks.
• Evaluate EEE parts for performance, reliability, safety and value.
• Interface with customers on parts, materials, and process requirements.
• Coordinate reliability risk mitigation with supply chain, engineering and manufacturing.
• Use reliability analyses and tools to assess PM&P risks and PCBA stresses.
• Lead EEE/PM&P failure root-cause analyses and propose corrective actions.
• Develop and track failure-related metrics and participate in reviews.
• Ensure EEE/PM&P requirements flow down to suppliers and subcontractors.
• Manage the PM&P program and NSPAR/NSMAR approvals.
